Case 1 --> New platform; native
R on a new platform as a native, original Original release
Case 2 --> New platform; port
R on a new platform as a port
Case 3 --> New platform; emulated
R on a new platform as an emulator release
Case 4 --> New platform; demo / promo  / teaser version
R of a demo, a promotional version or a teaser on a different platform than the original game. This is actually a case 2, but shall be separate for documentation's sake. It covers mostly all these free flash demos of existing Windows / Android / iOS games.
Case 5 --> Same platform; demo / promo  / teaser version
R of a demo, a promotional version or a teaser on an existing platform
Case 6 --> Same platform; remake / enhanced version
R of a remake or an significantly enhanced or improved version on an existing platform
Case 7 --> Same platform; highly censored version
R of a highly censored version on an existing platform
First-time release of the game's full version for a platform.

Case 2 --> Demo / Promo release

Release of a demo or promo version of the game.

Case 3 --> Enhanced re-release

Enhanced release of a game that has already seen a Case 1.

Case 4 --> Remake

Release of a game' remake where the gameplay stays basically unchanged, but graphics / sound / UI have been adopted to modern hardware. Note: the remake shall be marketed as such.
